For a week, Sarrissa Jeng was in negotiations with the terrorists, however one day, some of the terrorists panicked and began firing on the hostages and the Jedi. When this happened, Kaloor and the rest of the Jedi taskforce were left with no other option. Storming the transport, the Jedi killed the terrorists before they could do any more harm to the captives. In the end, a total of twelve hostages, all five Gotal terrorists, and two Jedi were killed. Kaloor and Antyard-Wo Shissan were two Jedi who were caught in the crossfire from the terrorists and cut down, becoming one with the Force.

The remaining Jedi were able to put an end to the situation, but not with the best possible of outcomes. While many passengers praised the Jedi for their help, the Gotal Foreign Affairs Commune criticized the Jedi for interfering in a matter they felt should have stayed within Gotal jurisdiction. Upon leaving Atzerri, Sarrissa and the surviving Jedi took the bodies of Kaloor and Antyard to the Jedi chapter house on Aleen for proper honor and burial.
